The security situation in northern Mitrovica over the last week has been smooth and without any incidents that would be reflected in the overall situation.
Director of the department, Behxhet Bala, said that in general, the recent situation is calm and thanks for the good work of local structures and international security. He stressed that the relaxation of the situation has caused the weakening of the role of Serbian illegal structures.
He is focused on runoff held on December 1 in the north of the city and the need for appropriate security measures. "The last time there was a good organization, so it is necessary that the local structures for runoff and international security are at the office," said Bala.
While Ahmet Josh, commander of the Kosovo Police in south Mitrovica, said that the situation in the south of the city is quiet and there is no concern. He stated that they are ready for the runoff held on December 1 in the south and north of the city.
